The Montreal Pipes and Drums were founded in 2000 under the direction of Jordon Anderson. It is the only independent bagpipe and drum band on the island of Montreal, with musicians of all origins and levels of experience. In addition to countless performances and parades over the years (including the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Quebec City, and the North American bagpipe championships in Maxville, Ontario), the group has already performed at the Symphonies Portuaires (in collaboration with Montreal’s Pointe-à-Callière Museum), with Galician bagpiper CarlosNúñez , and with André Rieu’s orchestra.
